What
is Chiropractic?
Chiropractic
is a healing science and art form which began in 1895. Chiropractic
restores health by removing interference to the nervous system
thus allowing the body to heal itself naturally.

What
does Chiropractic do?
Chiropractic
essentially restores function to the Neuromusculoskeletal systems of
the body predominantly by a series of spinal adjustments designed to
improve nerve communication.

Who
can chiropractors treat?
Chiropractors
can treat virtually anyone, it is safe for newborns to the elderly.
Q.
Will
it hurt?
At
Curtin Chiropractic Centre we pride ourselves on providing safe,
efficient, non-invasive techniques of Chiropractic. This results in
minimal discomfort.
Q.
What
is that noise?
Gasses
released in the joint space makes that popping noise you can usually
hear during an adjustment.
Q.
Do I need X-rays?
During
your first visit in particular we will be able to determine if you
will require any X-rays. This does not apply to everyone of
course but it does depend on your condition at the time of any
visitation. If after any of the visits we determine we require
an X-ray we can organise this for you.
Q.
Is this dangerous?
Chiropractors
undergo five to six years of full time study to provide chiropractic
care appropriate to your condition. Chiropractic has been shown
to be very safe when provided by a qualified Doctor of Chiropractic.
Q.
What
is your qualification doctor?
Depending
on which degree is studied and at which institution the degree is
studied at, a Chiropractor’s qualification usually takes a
minimum of five years of full-time studying for a chiropractic

Is
it covered by private insurance?
Yes,
chiropractic is covered by most private health funds as well as some
Government departments, such as Comcare and Department of Veteran
Affairs. Hicaps facilities are available so you can make a direct
claim to your health fund.
